West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is delivering one of the most ambitious hospital redevelopment programmes in the NHS and we have a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and motivated SACH Redevelopment Programme Coordinator (Band 6) to join our Redevelopment Team.

Based at St Albans City Hospital (SACH) (with travel to other sites), you will play a key role in coordinating programme activities, managing procurement and financial processes and supporting project planning and reporting.

*This is a part time role of 22.5 hours per week*

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role, working closely with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues, as well as external partners, to help deliver modern, sustainable facilities for our patients, staff and communities. If you have strong programme or project coordination experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels, we would love to hear from you.

With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.

Responsibilities
  • Management of purchase order, invoicing and payment process for redevelopment projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Trust Standing Financial Instructions, and timely approvals.
  • Programme coordination, including planning, risk and issue tracking, milestone management, and reporting.
  • Support governance processes by collating reports, maintaining document control, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Work closely with finance, procurement, capital, estates, clinical and operational colleagues, as well as external partners, to support programme delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of PMO systems and processes to support effective programme management.
