Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - ACT/MMT
Banding: Band 6
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Working hours: 09:00-17:30, Monday - Friday
Start date: ASAP
Rate: £23 - £29 per hour
Duration: Ongoing

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician – ACT/MMT to join our esteemed client in Southend-on-Sea. This role requires working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment, where your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of pharmaceutical care, which is critical for accurate patient treatment and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for providing ward‑based clinical pharmacy services, medicines reconciliation, dispensary cover, discharge medication, and out‑patient dispensing. You will maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot pharmacy equipment, and ensure strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will analyse and interpret complex medication orders with a high degree of accuracy, maintain meticulous records and documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care. ACT is essential for this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GPhC Registration.
  • Experience working in a similar post within the NHS.
  • Qualified to a Master's Degree (MPharm or equivalent).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
