Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Hatfield is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to provide services to adults in various settings. The ideal candidate will hold a recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy, have a valid Health Professions Council license, and possess dysphagia training. Responsibilities include managing an independent caseload and participating in a 6-day work rota. Qualifications

Overview

  • Eligible to live and work in the UK
Desirable criteria
  • Attainment of Videofluoroscopy competencies
  • 2-5 years' experience as Band 5 NHS or equivalent
Responsibilities
  • To provide a Speech and Language Therapy service to adults in outpatient, community and inpatient settings who have:
    • acquired communication disorders, and/or
    • speech and/or language disorders, and/or
    • eating, drinking and swallowing disorders
  • To work independently to a specialist level of expertise and be accountable for own professional actions.
  • To work across the inpatient neuro rehabilitation unit and the community stroke team, carrying an independent caseload within each setting.
  • To be part of 6 day working rota on the ESD team, with time off in lieu (TOIL).
