Opening Paragraph:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Locum Physiotherapist to join Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Romford for a 3-month contract. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within the Emergency Department and Frailty Units, providing physiotherapy services to patients in an acute hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in these departments, and be able to support the rehabilitation and recovery of patients in a fast-paced and supportive clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
As a Locum Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy assessments and interventions for patients in the Emergency Department and Frailty Units. Your duties will include assisting with mobility, rehabilitation exercises, and the development of patient care plans. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and will contribute to the rehabilitation of patients with a range of conditions. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, ensuring that all interventions are properly documented, and participating in team meetings and clinical audits as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in the Emergency Department and Frailty Units.
  • Experience as a Physiotherapist at Band 6/7 level, preferably within an NHS setting.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy interventions for acutely unwell patients and older adults.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
