Job Description:

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is recruiting a Band 6-7 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology/Transfusion to work in Stoke-on-Trent. We seek a biomedical scientist capable of supporting the laboratory’s service effectively.

Position: Biomedical Scientist

Banding: 6/7

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Hours: Full-time (9:00 to 17:30)

Duration: 3 months/Ongoing

Responsibilities include:

  • Using analysers for full blood counts (FBC) and coagulation tests
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting analysers
  • Loading and operating analysers
  • Ensuring correct blood typing for recipients

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Microtomy experience

  • Experience with Sysmex, Beckman Coulter Dxh, or BioRad IH-1000 analyzers
