Role: Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician
Banding: Band 5/6
Location: London
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Rate: £19 – £29 per hour
Working hours: Full time

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced acute environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will provide ward medicines management services. You will support the implementation and maintenance of JAC EPMA (Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration) systems. You will ensure the safe and effective use of medicines within the hospital. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience/Knowledge:
    • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
    • Previous experience with JAC EPMA is desirable but not essential.
    • Regular and recent ward medicines management experience.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
    • Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
