Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our team based at Queen’s Hospital in Romford. Duties include clinical ward-based activities such as assessment of patient’s own drugs and drug history taking, inpatient and outpatient dispensing, controlled drug dispensing, and discharge counselling.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine pharmaceutical duties in a professional manner and provide a high-quality, patient-orientated service, both in dispensaries and on the wards.
  • Clinical ward-based duties including assessment of patient’s own drugs and drug history taking.
  • Inpatient, out-patient and controlled drug dispensing.
  • Discharge counselling.
Qualifications
  • NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
  • Newly qualified pharmacy technicians or those about to qualify will be considered.
Training and Development

We have a comprehensive in-house training package to enable you to develop as a clinical ward-based pharmacy technician. The Trust offers a variety of specialities including respiratory, endocrine, neurology & stroke, oncology, frailty and acute care to support ongoing learning and experience.
