Job description
Overview

To provide comprehensive administration support to multidisciplinary teams and departments including named medical staff, junior medical staff and the system-wide multi‑disciplinary team. You will need to be flexible and reactive to the current requests and demands.

You will have empathy with/and or experience of working with people who have experienced mental health and you will need a degree of resilience as some of the work can include details of a distressing nature, though full support is given by AWP through peer support, regular formal supervision and access to the Employee Assist programme.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the North Somerset Recovery Service and the wider admin team.
  • Manage electronic and paper filing systems, coordinate meetings and prepare correspondence.
  • Respond promptly and flexibly to requests from multidisciplinary teams and named medical staff.
  • Demonstrate good initiative, good judgement and maintain a calm, empathetic approach to service user care.
  • Work independently but collaborate closely with colleagues and team members.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office packages effectively to produce reports, spreadsheets and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Previous clerical and administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Resilience and empathy to support service users and handling potentially distressing information.
