Job description

The role is a part‑time Band 2 Administration Assistant within the Dermatology Department’s Outpatient Team. The successful candidate will provide efficient reception services to clinicians and patients, working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide face‑to‑face reception service: patient check‑in, check‑out and appointment booking.
  • Support efficient admin and clerical service within the Operational Services Department.
  • Prepare, update and ensure timely availability of patient documents.
  • Provide information to patients, relatives and staff.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate data input and amend records as necessary.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures and work independently.

Successful candidates who require a DBS will be asked to pay for the DBS certificate via salary deduction from the first month’s pay.
