Job summary

A leading childcare provider in South Holland is seeking a Baby Room Practitioner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Childcare qualification, experience with babies under 2 years, and a hands-on, enthusiastic approach. Responsibilities include providing care and support, engaging with children, and working collaboratively with nursery policies. This role offers a minimum of 35 hours per week on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Level 3 or above Childcare qualification.
  • Experience working with babies and children under 2 years preferred.

Job description
Overview

Due to a high number of babies we have an exciting opportunity for a Baby Room Practitioner to join us as soon as possible. The successful candidate must have a Level 3 or above Childcare qualification and preferably experience of working with babies and children under 2 years.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care and development support for babies and young children in a nursery setting.
  • Engage with babies using active listening, creativity and a hands-on approach.
  • Work as part of a team to follow safeguarding and nursery policies.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 (or above) Childcare qualification.
  • Preferably experience of working with babies and children under 2 years.
  • Enthusiastic, hands-on, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Active listening skills and genuine enjoyment of children.
Hours

The hours are 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 35 hours per week on an all-year basis (50 weeks). There may be additional hours to cover staff holidays and sickness.
