Overview

Are you an Automotive Colour and Materials Engineer, seeking a new challenge? Do you have passion for future vehicle development? If so, Expleo have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers based in Warwickshire, is currently recruiting for a Colour and Materials Design Engineer, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. As a Colour and Materials Design Engineer you will lead responsibility for designing and developing sustainable and responsible colour and materials, for core, SVO and bespoke programmes, on a contract basis.

Responsibilities
  • Create and realise innovative proof of concepts and material solutions for both interior and exterior applications from concept
  • Delivering sustainable and responsible material initiatives and methods of make
  • Participate in weekly design reviews for project progress assessments
  • Contribution to meetings through suggestions, problem solving and design representation
Qualifications and skills
  • Ideally degree qualified
  • Strong creative and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of product, interior, the design industry in general and automotive design, combined with good aesthetic judgement, colour vision and colour perception
  • Knowledge of automotive materials, processes and suppliers, with a high degree of competitor awareness
  • Passion for colour and material technology and design as evidenced by up to date in field literature, innovations and trends
  • Competent working independently, demonstrating tenacity and drive
  • Advanced user of adobe package software: photoshop, illustrator and indesign software
