Qualifications

• Experience working in any setting with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, adaptable approach are essential.
• Knowledge of Makaton or sign language is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autism (ASC) and additional needs during lessons.
• Assist the class teacher and support staff in classroom activities.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual learning styles.
• Help manage behaviour positively and consistently.
• Collect evidence of pupil progress for assessment.
• Promote independence and emotional regulation.

Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30am - 3:30pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)

We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Autism Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a natural affinity with children and a genuine desire to make a difference. While direct school experience is not essential, we welcome applicants with backgrounds in care work, support roles, youth services, psychology, or any role where you have supported vulnerable individuals. Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Autism (ASC) and additional needs during lessons and school activities
