A long-standing, well-regarded accountancy practice in Leatherhead is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their growing team. With a loyal and varied client base ranging from SMEs and owner-managed businesses to charities and group structures, the firm is known for its technical excellence and supportive, down-to-earth culture.
This role would suit a qualified audit professional looking to step into a managerial role or continue progressing within a practice that offers both autonomy and mentorship.
Manage a portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the planning, fieldwork, and completion stages
Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior staff and seniors
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering a high standard of service and building long-term relationships
Ensure audits are carried out in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
Liaise with partners on technical and strategic matters, including billing and client development
Contribute to internal team development, process improvements, and training initiatives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), audit regulations, and industry trends
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Previous experience managing audit engagements in a UK accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and FRS 102
Comfortable leading teams and supporting junior staff
Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred, due to client site visits
