The role

You will take responsibility for a mixed portfolio of clients, predominantly audit‑focused with some accounts work. A significant proportion of the portfolio includes charity and not‑for‑profit organisations, so experience or interest in this sector would be particularly valuable.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, acting as the main point of contact
  • Planning, leading and reviewing audit assignments in line with UK GAAP and relevant charity SORPs
  • Overseeing audit fieldwork, budgets and deadlines, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard
  • Reviewing statutory accounts and audit files before partner sign‑off
  • Liaising directly with clients, trustees and finance teams to resolve technical and practical issues
  • Managing, mentoring and developing audit seniors and juniors, including on‑the‑job coaching
  • Supporting partners with client relationship management, fee discussions and new business opportunities
  • Contributing to improvements in audit processes and internal procedures
About you
  • ACA/CA qualified, or qualified by experience (ACCA considered with strong audit background)
  • Strong experience in audit within a UK practice environment
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is essential
  • Exposure to charity and not‑for‑profit audits is highly desirable
  • Commercial, organised and confident dealing with clients at all levels
  • Ambitious and motivated, with a genuine desire to progress and take on more responsibility over time
