Audit - Industry & Services School Leaver Apprentice - Manchester

Overview: As an apprentice, you will begin a four-year training contract with Forvis Mazars in Manchester.

Responsibilities – Years 1 and 2:

  • Master the art of auditing: learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
  • Financial statements: develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
  • Work with clients: be immersed in the business world by working directly with a variety of diverse companies and understanding their operations, challenges, and contexts.
  • Build relationships: connect with key stakeholders both with clients and internally in your team and across service lines; gather relevant information and build strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities – Years 3 and 4:

  • Take on increasingly complex audit work, including revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments.
  • Take ownership of audit engagements by leading their delivery and mentoring new and junior team members.

About the Audit Industry & Services team

The Industry & Services team provides audit services to a range of companies from FTSE 350 to privately owned businesses with turnover over £3bn. Our clients span manufacturing, transport, energy and utilities, and service sectors such as media, retail, professional services and technology. Recent UK government audit reform has created opportunities for our team. Forvis Mazars is a key challenger audit firm to the Big Four, with rapid growth and expanding market share.

Fully funded professional qualification for this role: ACA
