Overview

Pentland Primary School is part of One Excellence Multi Academy Trust, a four-school trust established in July 2017. The Trust champions inclusion and aspiration for all, with a strong sense of community identity.

Attendance, Safeguarding and Welfare Officer – Maternity Leave Cover to commence November 2025.

Grade I, Spinal Point 19 - 22 (actual salary £27,601 - £29,011). 37 hours per week, Term Time only plus 5 specified days.

Responsibilities
  • Focus on improving pupil attendance, reducing persistent absence, improving punctuality and reducing unauthorised absence.
  • Work with pupils and their families to provide safeguarding and attendance support, including referrals to external agencies where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will support children whose education is at risk and help families to improve their children’s access to learning and enable all children to maximise their educational opportunities, especially those vulnerable groups that may need additional support.

Person specification / Qualifications
  • Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be organised and able to remain calm in a challenging or busy environment.
  • Home visits may be required, so a UK driving licence and a car will be essential.
