As a Senior Strategic Leader in the University, you will report to the PVC Education and provide strategic leadership while fostering a supportive performance management culture aligned with our values. Role

In the new role of Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic Experience and Outcomes, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality education to our diverse student body. This position has been designed for an innovative thinker passionate about their field and dedicated to student success. You will provide strategic leadership in Learning, Teaching, and Student Experience, working closely with the PVC Education to enhance policies and practices aimed at improving outcomes for all YSJ students.

You will lead initiatives in preparation for the Teaching Excellence Framework (or similar), implementing strategies to deliver exceptional academic experiences. Success will be measured through key metrics, including the National Student Survey, continuation and completion rates, and qualitative insights into the intangible benefits of higher education. Close collaboration with professional services will support student success, engagement, and Technology Enhanced Learning.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Provide strategic leadership in Learning, Teaching, and Student Experience, including course development, student mentorship, community engagement, and service to the university.
• Hold a PhD or equivalent qualification, substantial teaching experience, and a strong research background.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to diversity and familiarity with educational technologies.
• Contribute to a modern, inclusive learning experience and foster academic excellence.
