In this role, you’ll work with outstanding digital talent across disciplines to imagine, deliver and run forward-thinking, business focused and experience- driven solutions for iconic brands. You’ll expand the impact we make with our clients, growing our business without compromising on our quality, integrity and culture.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead work stream on a large-scale Salesforce related, acting as a Technical Leader for other technical team members as part of a project or client engagement, including managing expectations, quality, task distribution and being accountable for all technical outputs on the engagement
  • Lead workshops to understand and document client needs from a Salesforce and wider connecting enterprise architecture perspective, leveraging knowledge of new and upcoming features available in the ecosystem, as well as limitations, risks and considerations, to support business and technical decision making
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, setting clear expectations, effectively delegating tasks, and taking ownership of the overall technical success of projects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Lead the development and physical design of solutions, guide the development team, and oversee required activities to ensure the system's architectural integrity
  • Translate and communicate technical requirements and solutions to the business using story- based narratives, clearly present strategies, options and recommendations to executive level stakeholders
  • Lead the design and architecture of innovative solutions, leveraging your expertise to translate complex business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
  • Manage key client stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for Salesforce technical solutions and offering a strategic view of the wider technology landscape and emerging trends, sharing insight with clients on how they can adapt new technologies and patterns to transform their organisations and deliver exceptional value to their customers
  • Independently lead pre-sales activities, shaping our end-to-end proposition and translating clients’ high-level business goals into innovative architectural solutions with an awareness of the commercials; documenting and presenting these solutions to both technical and non-technical internal and client audiences
  • Mentor and coach more junior technical talent, as well as defining and driving the continuous improvement of industry
  • Differentiating architectural standards, approaches, frameworks and tools
  • Build a broad internal and external network, advocating for technology and engineering practices both within and outside the firm
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in pre-sales activities, collaborating on proposals and translating client business goals into compelling architectural solutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior technical team members, fostering their growth and development.
  • Cultivate a strong internal and external network, actively advocating for best practices in technology and engineering both within and outside the firm.
Connect to your skills and professional experience

The following experience is essential:

  • Significant technical experience as a Technical Lead and Architect, with experience of hands‑on development of custom code solutions on Salesforce using Apex, Visualforce, Aura and LWC with an applied understanding of development standards and optimisation techniques.
  • Deep architectural understanding and experience in:
    • Integration approaches, patterns and standards used in the Salesforce landscape such as event‑based, ETL, ESB, point‑to‑point, REST, SOAP and Canvas
    • Security and privacy such as SSO, user provisioning and management, OAuth flows, encryption of data at REST
    • Wider technology landscape within large scale, global organisations (this could be industry specific)
    • Event driven architectures both on the Salesforce platform and in the wider tech landscape such as Kafka
    • Relational database theories and design concepts, including performance, security and data migration considerations
    • Analytics capabilities, MI and BI including enabling technologies on the Salesforce platform and other common applications within a large scale, global enterprise technology landscape.
  • Experience in SDLC, DevOps and DevSecOps patterns and enterprise tools, as well as knowledge of what the widely recognised software engineering best practices are and how they can be applied in the context of a Salesforce solution (including CI/CD, Trunk based development and feature toggles)
  • Experience in project management and planning activities, as well as identification, management, mitigation and escalation of risks and issues and documentation of assumptions and dependencies
  • Experience working on projects executed using an Agile delivery framework including typical variations, knowledge of alternative project delivery methods
  • Experience contributing to, or leading, RFP responses and other pre‑sales activities in technical expertise and bid management capacities
  • Ability to travel (potentially abroad) to client sites 80‑100% of the time
  • Hold relevant Salesforce certifications including Application Architect and System Architect or equivalent

The successful applicant will also be:

  • Confident and articulate in your communication style, with excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills that you can flex accordingly to help others – whether that be technical, non‑technical, colleagues or clients – understand and implement the solutions that you and your team design
  • A brilliant listener, building rapport and developing trusted relationships with a diverse set of senior client’s technical stakeholders including technology leadership
  • Comfortable creating high quality, clear, comprehensive, useful technical documentation to facilitate design consensus, direct build efforts, reach key decisions and record system solutions
  • Security Check (SC) clearance (already obtained) or above, or immediate eligibility for Security Check clearance, is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including familiarity with various Agile methodologies and alternative project delivery approaches.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with various integration approaches, patterns, and standards within the Salesforce ecosystem, including event‑based, ETL, ESB, point‑to‑point, REST, SOAP, and Canvas.
  • Expertise in Salesforce security and privacy best practices, encompassing SSO, user provisioning and management, Auth flows, and data encryption at rest.
  • Exceptional Communication: You should possess confident and adaptable communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences, including technical and non‑technical stakeholders, colleagues, and clients. Candidate’s presentations, written communication, and verbal explanations are clear, concise, and tailored to the audience’s needs.
  • Relationship Building & Stakeholder Management: You should be an attentive listener who excels at building rapport and fostering strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, particularly within technical leadership roles.
  • Experience working in a technical pre‑sale’s capacity, producing bid documentation and participating in bid meetings with client.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by developing white papers, blog posts, or speaking engagements that showcase expertise in sales transformation.
Agentforce AI Expertise:
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Agentforce AI, designing and implementing AI agent‑based solutions that address specific client challenges.
  • Develop strategies for integrating Agentforce AI with existing enterprise systems, data sources, and other AI/ML models.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, customisation, and ongoing management of Agentforce AI instances and agent workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal Agentforce AI features and capabilities for various use cases, including autonomous decision‑making, process automation, and intelligent interaction.
  • Solution Design & Development: Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and high‑performing technical architectures, producing detailed design specifications and documentation.
  • Technical Strategy & Roadmapping: Contribute to the overall technology strategy and roadmap, identifying emerging trends in AI, particularly in autonomous agents, and assessing their potential impact and application for clients.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices. Conduct technical reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Client Engagement & Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, presenting complex technical concepts clearly, managing expectations, and building strong relationships.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms, particularly within the AI/ML and autonomous systems landscape, to enhance solution capabilities and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance & Governance: Ensure solutions meet stringent quality standards, including performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability. Establish and enforce architectural governance processes.
