Associate Director Data/GIS

We are searching for an experienced Associate Director Data/GIS at our Birmingham - Newhall Street facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

RPS is looking for an Associate Director within the Ecology GIS team in Birmingham or Manchester to work alongside one of our Directors of Ecology who is leading on digital innovations and transformation. You will grow, manage and support the ecology GIS team to ensure support for the wider ecology team in delivery of master planning inputs, ecological appraisals, ornithological surveys and studies, other protected species surveys, mitigation design and construction, and postugcina construction supervision and monitoring.

Your Role

You will have the opportunity to benefit from an exciting and diverse workload, delivering high‑quality support for private and public‑sector clients across the UK including exciting.topic infrastructure and renewable energy projects. You will build long‑lasting client relationships, generate and manage new business, and have responsibility for financial planning and management. You will project‑manage a wide and varied workload, supervise internal staff, and have technical oversight and sign‑off on project output.

Your Skills and Experience

Previous experience leading a team of GIS consultants within an ecological consultancy, and first‑hand experience driving digital innovations within the GIS team and across the wider ecology team. Demonstrated capability to leverage digital data capture to improve internal processes and communication between ESRI and Microsoft products (Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, Azure, Dataverse), improve speed of delivery and efficiency concerning tracking of progress, reporting, resource and programme management and client‑facing solutions.
