Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in formulating and/or processing masterbatch, colour pigments, plastics compounding, or a closely related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of colour development and QC testing techniques.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A practical, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in team supervision or hands-on team leadership.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and strong organisational skills.
  • Good communication abilities and a collaborative style.

  • Support and lead daily technical operations within the masterbatch production environment.
  • Independently troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Oversee and participate in colour development projects and sample preparation.
  • Assist with managing and mentoring technical and laboratory staff.
  • Ensure QC testing protocols are followed and quality standards are met.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across processes, products, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and R&D to support customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, testing records, and technical reports.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Technical Manager to support our technical operations and drive ongoing improvements across the business.

The Role

As Assistant Technical Manager, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the technical function. You will work closely with the Technical Manager while also taking independent ownership of key projects and problem solving activities. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role suited to someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and takes a “can do”, solutions‑driven approach.

Key Responsibilities
