Assistant Team Manager/Practice Manager, Southwark

Position Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced social worker to join the Mental Health Care and Support Team (MHCAST) in a Deputy Team Manager role. You will work closely with and assist the team manager to supervise, guide, and lead the team. You will hold a small caseload to continue developing your practice and act as a role model and expert practitioner within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and support team members within MHCAST.
  2. Assess and review social care needs of adults with mental health conditions.
  3. Develop appropriate support plans.
  4. Lead by example and provide expert guidance within the team.
Team Composition

The team comprises social workers and assistant practitioners.

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in mental health social work.
  • Experience working within a local authority statutory setting.
Compensation and Contract Details

£40.69 per hour. This is a contract role.
