Overview

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people\'s lives? We currently have an opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Assistant Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Westcroft, in Tring. Westcroft is a supported living service for individuals with learning disabilities across three main buildings and several community-based homes. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team in empowering people to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities
  • Aid with the daily administration of medication
  • Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect
  • Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
  • Organising trips to local amenities
  • Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals
  • Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing
  • Provide appropriate support to service users who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence
  • Promote life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning
  • Build long lasting support relationships with people who will benefit from you being the difference
  • Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual\'s needs
  • Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
Requirements
  • It is essential that you have a Full UK Driving Licence, access to a car, and are happy to do sleep-ins (minimum one per week)
  • Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year (pro rata), including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service
  • £24,570 pa for a 37.5 hour a week contract
