As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support senior project managers and gradually take ownership of specific project tasks. You'll be involved in a variety of functions including contract administration, project programming, client liaison, and consultant coordination. You will play a key role in planning, managing, monitoring, and delivering construction projects that meet time, budget, and quality expectations. This role involves working across a broad range of projects with responsibilities spanning both pre- and post-contract stages. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual seeking to grow within project management, gain hands‑on experience in a supportive environment, and work towards managing projects independently.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting senior project managers and leading on specific project elements
  • Understanding and delivering on client briefs
  • Chairing project and design meetings, and issuing minutes
  • Preparing and updating project programmes and documentation
  • Coordinating between project team, client, and contractor
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and managing deliverables
  • Assisting with tender processes and project bids
  • Delivering progress reports to clients and managementSupporting lessons learnt reviews and business-related tasks
  • Always maintaining a professional and helpful manner
Qualifications
  • Industry-related degree or working towards one
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts (desirable)
  • Experience with developers or main contractors (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for the industry
  • Competency with Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of RIBA stages and procurement practices
  • Technical understanding of construction processes
  • Willingness to travel to London once a week
