Overview

Assistant Project Manager

Location: London (covering London and the South-East of England)

Reports to: Projects Director

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of ambitious refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South-East. These projects typically range in value from £350k to £3m+.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organisational skills, and wants to be involved in delivering exceptional spaces that meet clients’ deadlines, budgets, and expectations.

You’ll be working closely with Project Managers, Pre-Contracts, and Site Managers to ensure smooth project administration and successful outcomes from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange and attend meetings with clients and/or subcontractors as required.
  • Capture meeting minutes and follow up on all outstanding actions.
  • Produce Construction Phase Plans, H&S files, and site signage.
  • Conduct site visits for reporting, measurements, and commissioning.
  • Manage project folder contents via SharePoint and maintain documentation.
  • Raise purchase orders and order materials as required.
  • Obtain client approvals for samples.
  • Ensure ISO9001 Quality Management and H&S processes are in place and adhered to.
  • Resolve and close out issues raised during site safety inspections.
  • Complete first phase snagging and report back to the Project Manager.
  • Liaise with third parties to create O&M manuals by deadlines.
  • Manage post-completion and/or return works when required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar construction role is beneficial (but not essential).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail with accurate and up-to-date information management.
  • Confident communicator, able to interact with people at all levels on-site and client-side.
  • Team player with a flexible approach to work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable using project software.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and gain further qualifications.
  • A current driving licence would be advantageous but not essential.
