Assistant Patient Administrator – Maternity and Antenatal

Vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Fixed term contract ending 31‑Oct‑2026. Location: West Middlesex University Hospital, Isleworth.

We are looking for a friendly, self‑motivated and confident person with experience of providing a high‑level standard of customer care. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, patient‑focused reception and admin service in our Maternity and Antenatal department.

Working hours are on rotation between 8 am‑4 pm, 9 am‑5 pm and 11 am‑7 pm Monday‑Friday, including occasional weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a customer‑focused reception service for all patients and visitors, dealing politely and courteously with all queries and directing them accordingly.
  • Ensure the reception area is always manned and patients are kept informed of any delays.
  • Check in and book patient appointments in a timely manner, ensuring that appointments are within the appropriate gestation date range.
  • Interact with patients and relatives in a sensitive and empathetic manner.
  • Process all follow‑up appointments as patients leave the department in line with guidelines, escalating any capacity concerns.
  • Make up community and hospital notes using Cerner.
  • Assist with answering the ANC phones and dealing with patient queries.
