12m contract opportunity for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established, market-leading business on the outskirts of Leigh. Joining a friendly and collaborative finance team in role created to provide all round support as the Management Accountant works on a new ERP implementation project, your remit will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of Management accounts
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journals
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Credit Card Expenses
  • Assisting with Auditors at year end
  • Agent Commissions
  • Updating exchange rates (daily)
  • Currency Buying
  • Supplier spend reports
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Director queries
Applicants should have previous experience across most, if not all, of the areas summarised, and will be a team player with the communication skills and personality required to forge strong relationships at all levels throughout the business. The level of Month End/Management Accounts involvement will depend on the level of experience of the successful applicant, and there could be other areas the successful applicant could provide support depending on what skills and knowledge they bring.
