A local employment agency is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. This full-time position involves preparing monthly valuations, supporting management accounts, and maintaining records for audits. Ideal candidates should be part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA or AAT and have experience in management accounts. Strong attention to detail and excellent IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Assistant Management Accountant – Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Hours: Full Time Permanent, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: 30,000 - 32,000 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post monthly valuations for stock and other inventories.
  • Post monthly accruals for payroll, packaging, fuel, and other expenses.
  • Reconcile monthly fuel accounts and related fleet accruals.
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental accounts, investigating and resolving any variances.
  • Support the production of management accounts, including investigating variances and maintaining key files.
  • Reconcile monthly data and sales analysis using Excel.
  • Assist with the analysis of financial performance.
  • Aid with purchase ledger postings and account maintenance.
  • Maintain records to support annual audit and tax analysis requirements.
  • Assist with year-end stocktaking as required.
  • Support the posting of bank transactions.
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • Part-Qualified CIMA/ACCA or AAT Qualified would be desirable.
