Where you’ll be working

Welcome to our medical ward, the place where no two shifts ever look the same. It’s fast, reactive and full of variety, with specialties that keep you sharp and growing every day. Think stroke care, telemetry, dialysis, respiratory, diabetes management, dementia and delirium, plus eating disorder support. Med 1 brings high acuity action, while the broader ward gives you a huge skill range to flex and develop. If you love learning on your feet, you’ll thrive here.

About the role

You’ll be right in the middle of the action, providing person centred care and working closely with patients and their families through all sorts of clinical journeys. You’ll advocate, support, educate and respond to rapidly changing situations with confidence. You’ll collaborate with ENs, AINs and the wider team, delegate appropriately and jump in wherever needed. It’s busy, rewarding work where you’ll make a real difference every single shift.

About you

You’re fun loving, team minded and the kind of person who brings good vibes to the floor. You communicate clearly, you’re not afraid to pitch in and you appreciate a workplace where everyone supports each other. A sense of humour is basically part of the uniform here. If you’re adaptable, curious and ready to learn, you’ll fit right in.

How we’ll support you

You won’t be doing this solo. You’ll get solid corporate and ward based orientation, dedicated Clinical Nurse Educators on both wards and ongoing support from Tracey and the whole crew. You’ll feel welcomed, backed and encouraged from day one.

If you’re looking for a role that’s lively, rewarding and full of growth, this medical ward is calling your name. Let’s make every shift count.
