A renowned local theatre in the UK seeks an Assistant Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and upkeep throughout the estate. Duties include cleaning various areas such as the theatre, dressing rooms, and restaurant while adhering to health and safety regulations. This part-time role offers flexible hours, typically 13 hours per week, with potential additional hours as needed.
The Watermill Theatre is looking for a motivated individual to join our small, friendly team of housekeepers. The Assistant Housekeeper will play a crucial role in working with their team to keep the Watermill Theatre Estate at the highest standard of cleanliness in all areas. The Watermill Theatre is a converted watermill that is now a 220-seat theatre. We produce award winning work and have an international reputation as one of the best producing theatres in the country. The estate is made up of the main theatre, restaurant/bar area, offices and various accommodations for the artists.
The Assistant Housekeeper will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of all areas across the Watermill Theatre Estate. This includes, but is not limited to, the theatre itself, dressing rooms, restaurant and bar areas, administrative offices, rehearsal spaces, and artist accommodation. All duties must be carried out in accordance with the Watermill Theatre’s policies on Health and Safety, Hygiene, Environmental Health, and COSHH regulations.
The Assistant Housekeeper will work 13 hours per week. They may occasionally be asked to work additional hours to cover sickness or holidays and any additional hours will be scheduled, in advance, and paid accordingly.
