The Legal, Compliance, Regulatory and Government Affairs department is a diverse team comprised of attorneys and other professionals providing high quality advisory and transactional support with integrity and objectivity across all parts of the organization. We are looking for an Assistant General Counsel to join our London legal team to support our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Finance department. The CRE Finance department is responsible for handling multiple types of transactions including commercial mortgage loans, construction finance, back leverage and CMBS, with deals sizes that vary significantly from $10 to $250 million+. The CRE Finance department manages a global portfolio of real estate debt investments in excess of $40 bn, of which c.75 % is in North America and c.25 % is International (predominantly Europe).
The London legal team supports a broad range of real estate sectors and jurisdictions across Europe and other markets outside of North America. Our borrower client base ranges from major global private equity real estate managers and institutions to small private property companies, developers and high net worth individuals. You will be joining a small, dynamic legal team responsible for assisting with originating and executing new loans and secondary trades (typically 5‑15 transactions per annum) and managing the existing international loan portfolio. You will report to the Head of Legal – International CRE Finance and will work closely with our origination, underwriting and asset management teams.
The lawyer will work at the Corebridge Investment’s office in London, U.K. Corebridge will not assist with relocation costs. Compensation (including salary and bonus) and benefits will be competitive, commensurate with experience.
This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s London office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
