Responsibilities

  • Help manage and develop a capable, motivated team.
  • Maintain site cleanliness, crop storage standards, and stock rotation.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance, risk assessments, and audits are completed.
  • Provide guidance, training, and supervision to the team in your area.
  • Assist with monitoring costs and operational budgets.

Skills

Awareness of crop quality and factors affecting harvest outcomes
Knowledge of crop protection products and safe use
Strong time management and organisational skills
Good IT and communication skills
Previous experience in horticulture or fresh produce

Education

ND in Agriculture or equivalent

As Assistant Farm Manager / Growing Supervisor, you are there to oversee operations - who ensure crops are grown, harvested, and prepared to meet customer specifications, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
