The Horsham Specsavers store occupies a prime town-centre location on Worthing Road, surrounded by a vibrant mix of shops, cafés and essential services, making it a convenient and lively place to work. It is a large, well-established practice with nine test rooms, positioning it as one of the most substantial optical and audiology locations in the area.

The store benefits from excellent public transport links: Horsham train station is just a five-minute walk away, and several bus stops are located close by, ensuring easy access for both customers and colleagues. For those travelling by car, there are multiple convenient parking options nearby.

The Horsham Specsavers team is known for being a friendly, supportive and highly collaborative group, with a mix of experienced clinicians, optical assistants and retail colleagues who pride themselves on delivering great customer care and creating a positive working environment. Responsibilities

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Helping to lead and motivate the team on the shop floor, ensuring an exceptional customer experience at all times
  • Carrying out regular 1-2-1s, supporting training needs, and coaching team members to grow and develop
  • Being a confident front-of-house presence, keeping the shop floor running smoothly (no dispensing involved)
  • Supporting the management team with key operational tasks, contributing to smooth day-to-day store performance
  • Taking ownership of rota planning, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time
  • Championing a positive, people-focused culture-this role is perfect for someone who is naturally great with people and enjoys helping others succeed
