A leading engineering consultancy in Bristol is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support cost management services. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Commercial Manager, you will support the delivery of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying (QS) and Cost & Commercial Management services for our clients. This includes assisting with estimating, cost planning, procurement, cost assurance, and post-contract financial/commercial management on projects of varying size and complexity.
You will work closely with senior team members, gaining hands‑on experience and developing your technical skills. This role is ideal for someone with some post-graduate work experience who is passionate about building a career in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
You’ll join a diverse and growing team of Quantity Surveyors, Cost Managers, and Commercial Managers within our Project Management and Commercial Management (PMCM) division – a team of around 400 colleagues across the UK. PMCM provides QS/Cost and Commercial Management, Programme and Project Management, and Project Controls services for both Building and Infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors.
Your role will be based from one of our South West offices (Bristol, Cardiff or Exeter), within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities group. Other groups within PMCM include Property and Buildings, Programme Solutions, and Rail.
