A local council in Dudley is seeking an Asset Management Officer responsible for conducting property inspections, managing surveys, and collaborating with contractors. The role requires a full driving licence for travel across the borough and strong attention to detail to ensure housing quality and safety standards are met. Candidates should be prepared to engage with residents and provide reporting on property conditions.
Asset Management Officer – Dudley Borough
This role covers the whole of the Dudley Borough (approximately 15 miles wide from the centre). The role has the ability for combined office and home working but is primarily on site as a stock surveyor.
Your day as an Asset Management Officer might begin with a detailed inspection of a residential property, assessing its condition and identifying any necessary repairs. You could be working with your team to upload and analyse survey data, providing crucial insights that inform maintenance programmes. You may meet with an external contractor to discuss compliance with the latest construction standards, before heading to another site for a tenant’s request to carry out works.
You will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of Dudley’s housing stock. Each day will involve new responsibilities, including managing comprehensive surveys, working with external agencies, and addressing residents’ concerns about their homes. Your expertise will help ensure properties meet and exceed customer expectations while staying compliant with regulatory requirements.
