Are you passionate about supporting children with speech, language and communication needs?

A welcoming primary school in Bath is seeking an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join their specialist ASD Resource Base, supporting pupils in EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a supportive and structured environment, ideal for graduates looking to pursue a career in Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology, SEN Teaching or related fields.

You’ll work closely with children who have a range of additional needs, developing your understanding of communication challenges and supporting each child’s development through targeted interventions and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning alongside the class teacher
  • Deliver 1 : 1 and small group interventions within the ASD Resource Base
  • Provide behaviour and emotional support as needed
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Take a flexible, child‑led approach to learning
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and external professionals
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Attend training and participate in team meetings

This role offers a clear route into careers such as Speech and Language Therapy, SEN Teaching, Occupational Therapy, and Educational Psychology.   • Start dates available immediately or from September 2025
  • Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am–3 : 30pm (term time only)
  • £90 to £100 per day (PAYE)
  • Based in Bath – must be able to commute locally
  • You must have the right to work in the UK – unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) required
