Asia Desk Leader (Korea)

What the day will look like

In this role with dual responsibilities some of your key tasks will include:

Broking
  • Assessing client needs, crafting solutions and negotiating with insurance carriers to obtain the risk financing structure, terms and conditions that best align with client’s exposures and needs.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders, Account Executives, Account Specialists and other colleagues to understand and address clients’ needs.
  • Applying internal and external tools and resources to analyse the insurance marketplace and benchmark elements of clients’ risk
  • Finalise market submission (specifications, exposures, loss data) and submit to markets as appropriate
  • Negotiate with appropriate markets to meet, or where possible, exceed client coverage and financing goals
  • Manage commission on brokered products where applicable
  • Analyse, compare and contrast risk transfer, risk financing and coverage options – providing comparison deliverables for both internal teams and client
  • Assist in the preparation of strategy and renewal documents; participate in strategy and/or renewal proposal presentations where appropriate
  • Serve as an internal resource and authority on market trends, pricing practices, insurance product developments, insurance carrier appetites/capabilities/practices and other underwriting developments
Production
  • Achieve annual New Business Sales Goals
  • Identifies, develops and cultivates prospects for Aon solutions and positions Aon to win the work.
  • Build great relationships with economic buyer and with executives at multiple levels of the client organisation
  • Sells sophisticated services/solutions and may be selling to a C-Suite level at prospects with an emphasis on cross-selling all Aon solutions.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current trends.
  • Collaboration with other Aon practices and job families to result in additional new business opportunities
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Confirmed sales ability
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and our products and services.
  • Outstanding oral presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex messages in written form.
  • Comfort learning and using new systems and applications to manage and analyse data
  • Track record of establishing / developing new client relationships from scratch
  • Comfort using the Microsoft suite of products
