Job description

This fast growing and well‑established asbestos consultancy that provides a variety of asbestos and environmental services to clients to a mixed portfolio of clients is actively seeking to employ a smart, self‑motivated, and flexible asbestos Quality Manager in and around the Swindon area. The successful candidate will have experience with asbestos surveying, management, and supervisory experience. Undertaking daily tasks such as carrying out our audits, inspections, and quality control, attending meetings, and liaising with UKAS. Applications from Bath, Gloucester, Cirencester, Warminster, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Attained the CCP certificate or equivalent – P401/P402/P403/P404 qualifications.
  • Significant and varied experience working with this role and within a UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy.
  • Formal qualifications.
  • Good technical, quality, auditing, management and supervisory background.
  • Hands‑on experience in asbestos surveying, testing, sampling and internal auditing.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Good organisational, presentation, people‑management, leadership and client‑facing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Predominantly maintaining the company’s quality system – UKAS accreditation.
  • Attending operational meetings, dealing with asbestos UKAS accredited laboratory and surveying, managing, maintaining and developing Quality Managing Systems and UKAS accreditation to ISO17020 and ISO17025.
  • Carrying out audits, inspections and quality control.
  • Liaising with UKAS.
  • Advising on training requirements as and when required.
  • Complying with UKAS documentation and procedures.
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
  • Managing staff and dealing with issues appropriately.
