Job description

This fast growing asbestos consultancy with a large turnover and with a large presence across the UK is actively seeking an ambitious and self‑driven Asbestos Operations Manager to join them in Yorkshire. The client would consider applicants from Huddersfield, Sheffield, Halifax and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong technical, surveying, office management, consultancy and asbestos background.
  • Must hold the P402 certificate (minimum).
  • Significant experience as Operations Manager within the asbestos industry.
  • Good knowledge of the asbestos industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel and Word.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in running operations in the offices, site staff and clients on a daily basis.
  • Oversee administrative staff and ensure contract operations are coordinated with clients and carried out effectively in accordance with site operations and company procedures.
  • Handle invoices, maintain personnel records using the database, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Manage staff on site and ensure work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Produce method statements, risk assessments and associated site paperwork.
  • Assist with tenders and quotations.
  • Develop and train the team, manage the office, and take part in appraisals and other personnel issues.
  • Participate in audits to improve quality and achieve satisfaction from clients/customers and staff.
  • Ensure projects are completed within the agreed time frame.
  • Manage existing and new portfolios of contracts effectively.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with the company’s large portfolio of clients.
  • Develop new business leads and help grow the business.
  • Deliver on commercial results and maintain a commercially focused approach.
