Overview

Area Sales Manager – Exterior Lighting Products

Industry Sector: Exterior Lighting Products, Lighting, Electrical Products, Street Lighting Consultants, Street Lighting Contractors, Specification Sales, Local Authorities. Area to be covered: London, South East & Anglia (North of Thames). Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + commission & bonuses. Benefits: hybrid company car & standard company benefits.

Responsibilities

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of exterior lighting, electrical components and equipment.
• Sell into local authorities, street lighting consultants and street lighting contractors, predominantly, with some exposure to large retailers (e.g., Tesco).
• Develop a mix of existing customer relationships and new business opportunities.
• Target projects up to the values of £300k.
• Attend ILP/HEMSA and other relevant meetings/exhibitions.
• Assist with business planning and strategy.
• Work alongside one other field sales person covering the South East.

Qualifications / Ideal Candidate

• Outdoor/exterior lighting field sales experience.
• Ideally sold exterior/road lighting to local authorities.
• Consider candidates from related electrical product backgrounds who sell to local authorities, electrical contractors and electrical consultants.
• Experience in exterior lighting is preferred, but other electrical product experience may be considered.
• Personable, team player, driven and enthusiastic.
