Elite Consultancy Network is partnering with a well-established and progressive construction equipment dealership to recruit an experienced Area Sales Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to take ownership of a territory and play a key role in growing market share and customer relationships.

The Role As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling construction machinery and associated solutions within your assigned territory. This is a customer‑facing position requiring a consultative sales approach, strong relationship management, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

You will act as a trusted advisor to customers while contributing directly to the overall growth and profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Drive sales growth and improve profitability within the territory
  • Build a deep understanding of customers' businesses, applications, and technical requirements
  • Prepare and present quotations for machinery, including service and maintenance agreements, attachments, finance, and insurance options
  • Conduct on‑site machine demonstrations and oversee installations
  • Appraise used equipment accurately and professionally
  • Complete full machine specifications and ensure all orders meet customer requirements
  • Monitor customer accounts and support the timely collection of payments
  • Maintain accurate CRM records to support forecasting and reporting
  • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service at all times
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Complete all administration accurately and within required timescales
  • Adhere to health & safety standards and all company policies
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management
Skills & Experience Essential
  • Proven track record in construction equipment sales or a closely related industry
  • Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling experience
  • Ability to plan, forecast, and manage a sales pipeline effectively
  • Excellent customer engagement and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience managing a territory and working independently
