Job description

We are a global leading engineering manufacturer seeking an Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager to join our team. This fully remote role focuses on new business development and key account management across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

The role involves selling compressed air equipment such as compressors, nitrogen generators, blowers, dryers and associated equipment to OEM and end‑user customers, and managing a portfolio of key accounts.

Candidates should have experience selling engineered products and solutions into end‑user channels. Full product training will be provided. Previous experience as a Compressor Service Engineer seeking a sales career progression is also welcomed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell engineered products and solutions to end‑user channels.
  • Manage key accounts for compressed air equipment such as compressors, nitrogen generators, blowers and dryers via OEM and end‑user customers.
  • Manage and grow existing relationships while pursuing business development of compressed air products and solutions.
  • Maintain new compressor sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Work closely with the compressed air Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after‑sales service.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Operate fully remote, covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative or similar within engineering.
  • Compressor Service Engineers looking to come off the tools and progress into a sales role would also be of interest.
  • Must have experience selling engineered products and solutions into end‑user channels.
  • Full product training provided.
  • Experience selling engineering products such as compressors, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers & dryers, downstream equipment, refrigeration, nitrogen generators or similar compressed air related products/services is advantageous.
  • Experience selling transferable products such as pumps, valves, plant equipment, pneumatics, medical gas, hydraulics, rotating equipment, MRO, machinery, power tools, industrial systems or similar.
  • A technical engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire areas.
