Architectural Technologist Job Overview
- Prepare comprehensive working drawing packages in Revit
- Produce detailed technical drawings, sections, elevations, and construction details
- Support and coordinate technical information across multiple live projects
- Assist in the preparation of planning application drawings and supporting documentation
- Lead on the production of design and technical packs for clients and consultants
- Collaborate closely with Design and Technical teams to deliver accurate, buildable solutions
- Carry out site visits, including snagging, design team meetings, and client/contractor liaison
- Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, planning requirements, and best practice
- Participate in feasibility studies, early-stage concept designs, and client brief development
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and local authorities
- Support tender preparation, value engineering, and project documentation
- Contribute to multiple projects from concept through to completion across various sectors
- Assist in mentoring junior team members and sharing technical knowledge
Architectural Technologist Job Requirements
- Based in or within a commutable distance of Nottingham
\- Degree-qualified in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Proficient in Revit with strong knowledge of technical detailing and construction methods
- Proven experience running projects independently or as part of a small project team
- Demonstrated experience across Residential, Education, Commercial, or Industrial sectors
- Confident client-facing skills with experience in project coordination
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning policies, and sustainability standards
- Experience in preparing planning submissions and supporting documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively across office and digital teams
- Full UK driving licence essential due to site responsibilities
