A local government authority is seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join their Vehicle Services team in Halifax. The position involves performing regular service and safety inspections on various vehicles under supervision. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience and undertake a Level 3 qualification, attending college one day a week. This role is ideal for individuals aged 16 or older with a keen interest in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Calderdale Transport Services have a vacancy for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join their Vehicle Services team. The post holder will work in a busy vehicle workshop under supervision providing regular service and safety inspections for HGV, light commercial vehicles, cars, grounds maintenance machinery and accessible buses. The post holder will learn to diagnose faults and make any necessary repairs as well as providing a prompt response to breakdowns when required.
The post holder will undertake a Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Light Vehicle (Level 3) qualification and attend college 1 day per week for the duration of the Apprenticeship. During the remaining 4 days per week, the post holder will shadow and work with the existing Vehicle Technicians in order to obtain a good understanding on how to carry out vehicle and plant maintenance and Taxi Compliance Testing in a safe and competent manner.
