Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Antimicrobials Pharmacist to join a hospital team in London.

In this role, you will take the lead in promoting the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of antimicrobial medicines across inpatient wards. You’ll provide specialist advice on antimicrobial therapy, support stewardship initiatives, and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimise treatment outcomes and reduce antimicrobial resistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical advice on the appropriate selection, dosing, and monitoring of antimicrobial agents.
  • Support the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship policies and guidelines.
  • Review antibiotic prescribing and promote adherence to local and national protocols.
  • Liaise with microbiology and infection control teams to manage complex infection cases.
  • Deliver education and training on antimicrobial use to clinical staff.
Requirements
  • MPharm degree (or equivalent).
  • GPhC registration.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience (antimicrobial or clinical ward experience essential).
  • Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills.
