A healthcare organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a passionate midwife to lead the Antenatal ward team at James Cook University Hospital. The role entails ensuring high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care while managing the ward’s budget and promoting partnerships with families. Ideal candidates will have excellent organizational and leadership skills and a strong commitment to patient safety. Training in leadership development is provided to enhance skills and effectiveness in practice.
The post holder will hold responsibility for the Antenatal ward team with support from the Band 8A Matron and Head of Midwifery. The post holder will ensure they lead and manage the Antenatal ward to ensure safe, high quality, evidence based midwifery care is delivered to patients whilst respecting and involving families and carers as partners in care.
The post holder in conjunction with the senior management team will manage the budget for the ward to ensure the best use of resources.
They will act as a champion for professional accountability and standards, ensuring that professional practices are in line with the requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and Trust Policy.
We are looking for an experienced midwife with a passion for antenatal care, to provide inspirational leadership and management for our antenatal ward and maternity outpatient clinic in James Cook University Hospital. The individual must have excellent organisational and leadership skills, a strong commitment to midwifery practice and safety. The post holder will work in association with the services multi-disciplinary team, allied health professions, anaesthetic, surgical, emergency care and other associated teams in line with patient safety and quality agenda.
