Job summary

A leading global financial institution is seeking an Analyst Sales Trader to cover North America. The role involves developing business with European clients, daily client coverage, and participating in the development of electronic trading products. What is the opportunity? An exciting opportunity to join as an Analyst as a Sales Trader covering North America.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Gain a good understanding of the Global Equities business
  • Undertake and pass all required regulatory and exchange exams and registrations.
  • Business development with prospective and existing European-based clients.
  • Help with evaluation and integration of new technologies.
  • Daily coverage of clients to further educate them on best practices when using RBC algorithms.
  • Guidance and participation in the development of the Electronic Trading product.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong financial knowledge background
  • General Technology Understanding.
  • Proven experience in a sales trading role
  • Previous experience in U.S Equities
Competencies (Behavioural)
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Personable and confident interacting with others (internal employees and external clients).
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Strong Ethics.
Technical Skills
  • Understanding of basic computer software.
  • A technical / logical mindset.
