The Role

As a freelance interpreter, you will:

  • Facilitate communication between non‑English speakers and service providers
  • Interpret in settings such as courts, law firms, social services, and healthcare facilities
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality
  • Work on an ad‑hoc basis with flexibility to accept assignments that suit your availability
Requirements
  • Fluency in Amharic and English
  • Previous interpreting / translation experience (preferred)
  • Valid / current Enhanced DBS check
  • Eligibility for self‑employment in the UK
  • Two professional interpreting / translation references
