Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Produce strong, clean, and visually appealing welds on aluminium components.
  • Carry out TIG welding on steel and stainless steel as required.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to meet welding specifications.
  • Clean, cut, and accurately position materials prior to welding.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Location: Gloucester, GL2

Pay:upto £33,500.00

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30

  • Friday: 08:00 – 15:30

  • Overtime available

Job Summary

Gap Personnel are seeking a skilled and experienced TIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality components, primarily working with aluminium, with additional TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel as required. Precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aluminium TIG Welding: Produce strong, clean, and visually appealing welds on aluminium components.

  • Steel & Stainless Steel Welding: Carry out TIG welding on steel and stainless steel as required.

  • Reading Drawings: Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to meet welding specifications.

  • Material Preparation: Clean, cut, and accurately position materials prior to welding.

  • Equipment Setup: Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Quality Control: Inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and quality standards are met.

  • Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

  • Productivity: Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high standards.

  • Commute/Relocation: Must be able to reliably commute to Gloucester or relocate prior to starting
