A leading recruitment firm in the UK is seeking an ALM Manager for a 12-month FTC. This role is crucial for transforming the Society's funds transfer pricing and requires expertise in financial risk management and hedge management. A fixed term opportunity has arisen to join the Asset & Liability Management team in the Balance Sheet Control directorate as a specialist ALM manager under the Hedge Management project within the Governance, Risk and Control programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the transformation of the Society's funds transfer pricing.
This role will be directly responsible for delivering key aspects of the hedge management project, working with colleagues across the ALM team, wider Finance function and trading. The successful candidate will be expected to document, consult on and develop the funds transfer pricing methodology and mechanism for the Society to achieve optimum risk transfer, product pricing and margin reporting. This requires a thorough knowledge of the products the Society provides to members and customers and of the components of cost of funds incorporated into financial services transfer pricing as well as the ability to build and deliver to an ambitious vision in ensuring funds transfer pricing meets the requirements of a growing firm. This role has no line management responsibility but requires significant engagement with others.
The successful candidate will join an established team of permanent and project colleagues with a breadth of experience in the Asset and Liability Management field. This role would ideally suit someone with a financial services background with experience in financial risk management or margin reporting who is looking to deepen their expertise.
A strong understanding of balance sheet, corporate structure and data and reporting landscape are key to success in the role. In addition, you will champion a positive risk management culture.
