Job Description and Vetting Requirements

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week

Shift Pattern: 4 days on 2 off; AM 6:00–14:00; PM 14:00–22:00; Nights 22:00–06:00

Location: Manchester Airport, Manchester M90 2BA

Role

Cleaning Operative – you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area, the work to be carried out, and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will undertake all required training to deliver the cleaning role. You will work within a team and can also work on your own initiative. You will build positive and productive working relationships with customers, deliver excellent customer service and seek ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Keep cleaning equipment clean, maintained and in safe working order; meet SLAs.
  • Understand the designated cleaning area and required tasks; follow Health and Safety requirements.
  • Complete all required training for the role.
  • Work effectively as part of a team or autonomously when needed.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and deliver high levels of service; seek continuous improvement.

Vetting Requirements

Please note: To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Passport or Driving licence; and/or Right to Work documentation (e.g., residence permit).
  • If less than 6 weeks left on your current visa, bring evidence of your visa application to the interview.
  • Proof of current address (dated within the past 3 months).
  • Name change documents if applicable (marriage certificate/deed poll).
  • Work history for the last 5 years; provide referees if available.
  • Proof of National Insurance details.
  • DBS check will be required.

After acknowledgement of the above, you will be invited to the airport for a security interview, which involves completing a security form and obtaining references for the full 5 years of work history (gaps may be considered). After information is received and a DBS is completed, a GSAT airport security certificate will be provided (support available) and then an application to the pass office to obtain an airport pass.
